Arthur's Pride is back and he is slowly getting back to his winning ways in fact at this rate give it five more races and he should be winning!!
His rehabilitation did take longer than was expected but Bob Gilling the trainer and the vet have got him going again and the odds are looking very healthy should he get another win under his belt.
So far we have witnessed a sixth and a fifth but his last run out was very promising as he was leading for half the race. Unfortunately it was just the wrong half!!
So please if you are one of the consortium or just up for a different environment show your support and come and cheer Arthur on.

Unfortunately Arthur's Pride was hurt in a fall at Reading about a month ago and the situation turned out to be slightly but only slightly worse than was at first feared. He has undergone surgery and a small pin has been put in his leg. He is up and about and perfectly happy. To those who are interested in their winnings he will be back to race again and this will probably be just before Christmas. Contact Harry if you would like to visit the patient as he would probably like the attention we are told.
Arthur's next race is Saturday 17th July at Reading Race 4 which is at 8.20pm and he is in Trap 5 Arthur's Pride has until last Tuesday 13th July been laid up with sore joints but he was back to the track and finished sixth. However having spoken to the trainer a couple of runs will be needed to get him fit again.
Arthur's Pride is running again
on Saturday 29th May in race 5 at about 8:50pm

So what can we tell you about Arthurs Pride
trained by Bob Gilling and based at Reading Stadium other than
much enjoyment has been had by syndicate members who have made
the journey to see him strut his stuff.
After a bump on the head having been bowled over by the
opposition in his first race he has always been there or
thereabouts at the end of every race. So out of his five
starts he now has a fifth, fourth, second and two firsts to
his name. This is far better than anyone was hoping for and we
are obviously hoping for more glory.
For those of you who like a bet he has been the Racing Post
tipsters Nap on his last couple of appearances and is doing
well.
With regards to the notice that we can give you on when
Arthur's Pride runs I am afraid that we are only given 48
hours ourselves so please refer to the Greyhound News section
of this website which will now be updated more often or ask at
the bar.
